The focal point of the project is an old boat. It is a main character from a folk song and it appears in the project on different surfaces as well as an actual physical boat that is painted
in decorative flowers.
The flowers form a pattern, spreading from the boat to the paintings and drawings, varying and
repeating like an element of an embroidery, a reference to traditional decorative paintings.
The project “ Plyve choven”( "...and the boat is sailing") is dedicated to people that are no longer with me. I place them and personal objects carrying memories into a different time line or place, where they might not belong.
While experiencing pain of personal separation there is a longing to reconnect.
